VBS**Pandamania**

This past week was VBS(Vacation Bible School) at our church.  One of our girls' favorite weeks out of the year.  The theme was Pandamania and how God is Wild about you.  Our church does such an amazing job of putting this program on.  Our church had almost 1000 kids show up and over 40 kids committed their lives to Christ! WOW!

It's funny, but each VBS, on the first day, they are to get with a group with other kids in the grade.  And somehow, every year, they are in the group opposite of ALL their friends.  And every year, it's my fault, but my response is, "Well, sorry girls, let's make some new friends."
So, this being one of their favorite weeks, they were only able to go 3 out of the five days.  They can thank their little brother for that.  He brought the whole family a present back from Glenwood Springs....THE FLU!  Oy, the day we got home from our trip, the pukes went thru our house like a bath out of ..... you now.  I am still washing bedding and towels from that lovely time.  Some how Jeff was the only one who managed to not get it.  SO that meant it had to take care of five people throwing up at the same time.

The days they went they did have a blast!  Can't believe it came and went so fast, I guess it always does....

Glenwood Springs for Father's Day

What an awesome Summer it has been so far...we took our annual trip to Glenwood Springs for the Strawberry Festival and Father's Day and had a blast.  Wow, even I don't believe what I just wrote....even though it was fun at parts, it was so exhausting and Jeff and I made a deal to never travel with four kids, 5 and under, again until they are all 20 or older!
What were we thinking?

After this stop in Silverthorn, Presley decided it was a great idea to scream the rest of the car ride to Glenwood.  Wasn't that nice of her?  I guess she'd lucky we didn't leave here some where on I-70....

We went to the Strawberry Days Carnival and the girls were harnessed in and jumped on some trampolines.  Had a blast!

Met this nice old man, Vern, who gave all the kids a free 10 minute train ride.  He said he needed to test out the new steering on the train, but we new it was God, because we had no money left to let the kiddos ride.

Overall the trip was fun.   Glenwood is one of our favorite places to go and I think Jeff had a pretty awesome Father's day while we there....he was able to run a 10K the fastest he ever has!

If you've ever been to Glenwood, you are probably wondering where the pics from the pool are....well, let's just say we're lucky we made it thru that with all the kids in tow....we kept forgetting the camera where ever we went.....guess it's good we didn't forget any kids, I don't think...

Summer....Beach Boys anyone?

Wow, it's been too long.....what a crazy May it was.  So glad it's over and summer has arrived.  Ella and Riley successfully finished Kindergarten.  Can't believe how amazing they are at school!  They are such great readers and their handwriting is so neat.  Can't believe they are in 1st grade!  So grateful they had the best teacher, hoping for another great one next year.

Awana was also an amazing year.  Both girls won Clubber of the year.  We are so proud of them and they are so fast at memorizing their verses.  They blew away their leaders every week with their skills.  Their heart have truly grown this year and we can see they love the Lord!

It's been a very busy summer already...Riley learned to ride a bike with no training wheels.  Now we can't keep her off it.  Ella is almost there, with a little more confidence, she will be riding in no time.

Lincoln and Presley are just as silly as always.  They are 19 months and every bit as active as they can be.  They are definitely enjoying the outside world.  Of course Presley treats the dirt outside as the stuff that should never touch a princess.  Meanwhile, Lincoln is in the corner eating and bathing in it......

Should be a great summer....we have the girls 6th birthday, which they have been planning since October, and some weekend getaways and pretty much just hang at the pool and try to tan the whiteness that settles in during the long winter.  Bring on the Beach Boys and BBQ's...it's SUMMMER!!

Watch Out World

So proud of Ella and Riley for being in their first ever piano recital.  They have been taking lessons since November and have done such an amazing job.  They are naturals and love playing.  They are always playing the piano, whether it's pleasing to the ear or not.

I guess the major credit must go to their awesome teacher, Miss Becky.  She is the best by far! Love how patient she is while teaching.  What a gift!

Easter Wonderland

Had fun coloring eggs and somehow made it through without recoloring the kitchen!

All dressed up!  Even though it snowed and rained and was just plain cold all day, it didn't stop them from all the festivities.  Our egg hunt had to be moved inside and we managed to only loose one egg.  Sorry Nana for that one egg I'm sure you will find by the smell very soon.
Got to hang with our cousins.  That was a blast! Can't you tell by the faces... :)

Great day overall, even though we froze most of the day.  Oh well, typical Easter weather in Colorado.

Good Friday

What a day.  Amazing how all of the stuff we did today didn't distract us from remembering what today is all about.  We are trying to teach the girls the importance of this weekend and how we should celebrate this everyday not just once a year and all they can say is, "so when are we going to dye eggs Mom?"  Makes you wonder why you even open your mouth in the first place.  But then later in the day they amaze me by saying, Mom, Easter is about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins."  I guess that's why we open our mouths....

So.....I have learned to not let the distractions of life cloud our view of this weekend and how important it is to teach our kids as much as we can about our Savior and what he is all about.

Tomorrow should be fun dying eggs and decorating sugar cookies and getting baskets ready from "the Easter Bunny" of course.  Think I'm still getting the dye off my hands from last year....

The Kiddos

Ella Noel...She is sweet, helpful and full of love.  She is very willing to help you or anyone out.  She is in Kindergarten and loves, loves learning.  We think she will be a teacher when she grows up.

Riley Belle...She is the spunky one who has an amazing spirit ans her own way of doing what she loves.  She is so artistic and says she wants to be a chef, teacher, and then a kids doctor when she grows up.

Lincoln Cash...in a land of all girls he is definetly all boy.  He stands his ground with three sisters and his favorite thing to do is be with his Daddy.  He is going to break a lot of hearts and make a great husband one day.

Presley Addison...aside from dealing with not being the only child, she is full of life.  She is definetly the princess of the family and does not let you forget it...seeing as she just started walking at almost 18 months of age.
